Services

StyleSense personal styling services are provided for general fashion & styling advice purposes only

Payments

Pre-payment or post-payment in instalments can be prior arranged with StyleSense in writing

Any pre-payment received will be confirmed by StyleSense and triggers booking policy T&C’s below

StyleSense reserves the right to request a deposit of up to 50% or pre-payment in full prior to the session. Any deposit will be used against full payment of services

Deposits are not refundable but are transferrable to different dates/services

Payment of invoices must be made in full within 14 days of completing your styling session by cash or bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed prior to your session

A 2% fee will be applied daily to late payments until invoice is paid in full

All prices stated on the StyleSense website are in Australian dollars (AUD) including GST unless otherwise stated

Booking Policy

Completion of one of the following 3 actions confirms your service booking and cancellation / refund policies will apply:

  1. Completion of your personal questionnaire and emailed back to StyleSense
  2. Any payment in advance
  3. If you are an existing client with questionnaire homework already received for a prior session, this counts as confirming your new service booking and cancellation / refund policies will apply

Cancellation Policy

Regardless of the above booking policy 1 or 2, cancellation fees apply if within a 72 hour window of your session:

  • 25% cancellation fee applies if cancelling within 72hrs
  • 50% cancellation fee applies if cancelling within 48hrs
  • 75% cancellation fee applies if cancelling within 24hrs including ‘no shows’


For services outside of 72hrs that have not yet started, won’t incur a fee and are welcome to reschedule to another date, see ‘Postponement Policy’.

All time changes or cancellations must be done by phone and confirmed by StyleSense that we’ve received your advice.

Postponement Policy

Postponements outside of 72 hours from your start time do not incur a fee.

Postponements within 72hrs of your start time – a new date must be set within a fortnight otherwise it’s deemed a cancellation and you will be charged on the 14th day from your booking, according to the cancellation policy timings above. The new service date does not have to be within the fortnight, just the scheduling of your new slot

Postponements within 72hrs of your start time may incur a 25% re-booking fee at the discretion of StyleSense if we cannot find another client to fill your slot at such short notice, however StyleSense understands the need to be flexible

Postponements within 24hrs of your start time may incur a 50% re-booking fee at the discretion of StyleSense if we cannot find another client to fill your slot at such short notice, however StyleSense understands the need to be flexible

If 2 postponements have been made, the 3rd postponement is classed as a cancellation and will be charged accordingly

Again, all time changes or cancellations must be done by phone and confirmed by StyleSense that we’ve received your advice.

Refunds

No refunds are given once you have confirmed your booking, see above booking policy

If you have missed your appointment due to an emergency, it will be up to the discretion of StyleSense as to whether the service fee will be refunded / waived, or if your service will incur a cancellation fee.

Receiving refunds for clothes and other items purchased whilst shopping in store is the responsibility of the client. As such any refund request should be made directly to the store.

Start Time

SESSIONS HELD AT YOUR HOME:

Start times are quoted with a 15 minute leeway either side due to variables such as traffic, difficulty parking and locating your home etc. Please be ready to start at the earliest time

Session time will start at the latest time quoted regardless of whether you are ready, so please don’t delay

PERSONAL SHOPPING & SESSIONS HELD AT STYLESENSE STUDIO:

We start promptly at the time quoted & agreed to in writing, so please be ready/arrive on time as you will be charged from this agreed start time. This is because your personal shopper has already worked for a 1hr pre-shop prior to meeting and often has another client after you

FOR ALL SESSION TYPES:

Be respectful of timed sessions eg. 2hr Wardrobe Makeover, as any time beyond the 2hr booking will be ‘extra time’ and charged accordingly.

‘Extra time’ (clarified as time beyond the specified timed session) will be rounded up to the 15 minutes to ensure best value for money and extra time will be charged at the current fee (eg. $60 per 15 minutes @ 2024 prices)

StyleSense Referral Scheme

As an existing client, when 4 of your referrals have completed their service, you qualify for a free 2 hour service redeemable against:

  • Wardrobe Makeover *may incur travel cost
  • Personal Shopping
  • Online Styling

If your referral is for a group of people of 4 or more booking in at the same time ie. group colour session, then this is counted as referring 2 people

A group session with you as a client does not count as a referral

Gift Vouchers

All gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase but can be 1 year if pre-agreed by StyleSense. They are non refundable, nor are they redeemable for cash. Gift vouchers can be redeemed for other services of the same value or upgraded when the difference in price in paid in advance

Gift vouchers can be transferred to another person although the StyleSense loyalty program will not apply.

You can purchase gift vouchers by cash or bank transfer, including in installments by prior agreement with StyleSense, but the service must be paid in full prior to styling taking place.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser or receiver of the voucher to redeem the voucher within the allocated 6 month time period as noted on each voucher

Once your voucher expires, it is unusable and non-refundable.

Personal Information

On completion of your initial questionnaire and emailing back your personal information to StyleSense, this action confirms your style session booking and cancellation costs will apply

If you fail to notify StyleSense of any allergies, disabilities, specific needs or wants relating to your service (eg: won’t buy from certain brands), prior to your session then StyleSense is not liable for fulfilling these needs.

Purchasing From Brands

StyleSense always aims to find all clothes & accessories on your shopping list but does not guarantee to find and supply every item as all items are subject to in-store availability.

When you purchase physical goods during a personal shopping session with StyleSense, you do so entirely at your own risk and enter in to a contract with the terms & conditions of the brand you purchase from, not with StyleSense.

StyleSense takes no legal responsibility for any goods or services we may offer, we are making a ‘recommendation’ only

Intellectual Property

Any style and colour information, including resources or ‘follow-up’ in any format sent pre, during or post completion of any style session belongs to StyleSense and must NOT be shared with any third parties without prior written consent from StyleSense

It is the clients responsibility to read this information and implement the learnings by yourselves, done so entirely at your own risk, for which StyleSense shall not be liable.

Limitation Of Liability

StyleSense takes no legal responsibility for any loss or accidents during any style session at any location including, but not limited to:

  • your home or location where your service takes place
  • StyleSense home location
  • in store or whilst shopping
  • during an event that StyleSense hosts or co-hosts

By booking a service, you agree to take personal liability for your actions and belongings during any style session.

StyleSense takes no legal responsibility for any goods or services we may offer on www.stylesense.net.au or from any other website noted on the site. Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable.
